Bondi launches Epstein probe into Clinton and Democrats at Trump's urging

 November 15, 2025

President Trump has just thrown a political grenade into the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein saga, demanding a deep dive into connections with prominent Democrats.

The New York Post reported that Trump has pushed the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties to figures like Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, and Reid Hoffman, alongside financial giant JP Morgan Chase, while Attorney General Pam Bondi has swiftly mobilized a probe under US Attorney Jay Clayton.

This all kicked off on Friday when Trump publicly called for the Justice Department to scrutinize Epstein’s links to these Democratic heavyweights.

He argued that the issue has been weaponized by the left to distract from their own failings. Well, if deflection is the game, this investigation might just turn the spotlight right back on them.

Trump's Bold Call for Accountability

Trump didn’t mince words, claiming that Democrats are far more entangled with Epstein than any Republican. “This is another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats,” Trump declared. If that’s true, this probe could be a reckoning for some high-profile names.

Among those named by Trump are former President Bill Clinton, who traveled on Epstein’s private jet multiple times in the early 2000s, ex-Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, who received donations from Epstein during his Harvard tenure, and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman, a known Democratic donor with professional ties to Epstein. All three have publicly expressed regret over their associations. Still, regret doesn’t erase the questions that linger like a bad aftertaste.

Adding fuel to the fire, Congress released fresh Epstein documents this week, reigniting public fascination and fury over the case. Democrats were quick to point out a few emails where Epstein mentioned Trump, but the president countered that he severed ties with Epstein long ago after expelling him from Mar-a-Lago for inappropriate behavior. Sounds like a messy divorce, but one with receipts.

Attorney General Pam Bondi didn’t waste a second, announcing on Friday that she was ready to launch the investigation. She tapped US Attorney Jay Clayton of the Southern District of New York to lead the effort, promising a process handled with speed and honor. If Clayton’s reputation holds, this won’t be a half-hearted PR stunt.

Bondi herself emphasized the gravity of the task, stating, “As with all matters, the Department will pursue this with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.” That’s a tall order in a case this murky, but if anyone can cut through the fog, it’s a team under her watch.

Meanwhile, the public clamor for transparency in the Epstein investigations has only grown louder under both recent administrations. Congress continues to push for answers, even inviting Epstein victims to Washington next week ahead of a vote to release the full Justice Department files. The pressure’s on, and the American people deserve more than political smoke and mirrors.

Democrats and Financial Ties Under Scrutiny

Let’s not forget the financial angle—JP Morgan Chase paid a staggering $290 million in 2023 to Epstein’s victims after accusations that it turned a blind eye to red flags about his activities.

The bank didn’t admit fault but expressed regret over its past dealings with Epstein, noting it cut ties years before his arrest. A hefty payout and a mea culpa don’t exactly scream innocence, do they?

Then there’s the Democratic trio: Clinton, Summers, and Hoffman, all of whom had documented interactions with Epstein but no credible evidence linking them to his crimes.

The New York Post reached out for comment, but only silence greeted inquiries to Hoffman’s employer, while Clinton and Summers’ representatives were similarly tight-lipped. Dodging the press isn’t a great look when the stakes are this high.

Epstein’s newly disclosed emails add another layer of intrigue, showing correspondence about Clinton and a critical 2017 message to Summers about Trump. Democrats pounced on this for political points, but one has to wonder if cherry-picking emails is just another distraction from tougher questions. The hypocrisy meter is ticking.

On the other side of this grim tale, Virginia Giuffre, a former Mar-a-Lago employee and Epstein victim, has stated that Trump had no involvement in Epstein’s criminal acts. Her words cut through the partisan noise, reminding us that at the core of this story are real people who suffered. Their voices must not be drowned out by political gamesmanship.

The Justice Department, for its part, pointed to Bondi’s social media post when pressed for comment, while the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office stayed mum on Friday.

Earlier this year, Bondi told Fox News the Epstein files were on her desk, though she and FBI Director Kash Patel claimed over the summer there was little more to share. If Congress gets its way, those files might finally see the light of day.
