Democratic strategist James Carville just unloaded a verbal haymaker on Hunter Biden, and it’s got everyone talking.
The Daily Caller reported that on an episode of “Politics War Room,” Carville didn’t hold back, accusing the president’s son of shady dealings and telling him to pipe down after years of controversy.
This saga kicked off when Carville’s co-host, Al Hunt, referenced a report from Axios about Hunter Biden’s frustration with former President Barack Obama for guiding President Joe Biden off stage at a fundraiser in 2024.
Carville, never one to mince words, zeroed in on Hunter’s past business ventures, particularly his $50,000 monthly paycheck from Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company, despite lacking any apparent expertise in the field.
He didn’t stop there, suggesting that Hunter’s actions have been a persistent source of embarrassment for his father, even dragging the president into questionable foreign dealings.
It’s hard not to raise an eyebrow at how Hunter’s choices seem to keep casting shadows over the Biden name, especially when family loyalty should mean protecting, not tarnishing, a legacy.
Adding fuel to the fire, let’s not forget Hunter’s legal woes—a Delaware jury convicted him in June 2024 for possessing a firearm while struggling with drug addiction and falsifying information on the purchase form.
President Joe Biden stepped in with a pardon in December 2024, arguing his son was unfairly singled out due to their familial ties, a move that’s sparked plenty of debate about fairness in the justice system.
While one can sympathize with a father’s instinct to shield his child, it’s tough to ignore how this pardon fuels perceptions of privilege, especially when ordinary folks rarely get such a pass.
Carville’s frustration boiled over as he addressed Hunter directly with some, shall we say, colorful language about staying out of the spotlight.
“In terms of Hunter Biden, look — he did some really stupid goddamn things. That $50,000 a month from a Ukrainian energy company — I mean, if he cared so much about his father, it looks like he wouldn’t have done so much to embarrass him,” Carville said on “Politics War Room.”
“Getting him on the phone and whatever,” he added, pointing to how Hunter allegedly involved his father in his business antics, a claim that’s long haunted the Biden family narrative.
Carville also weighed in on the pardon, showing a sliver of understanding for Joe Biden’s decision while still holding Hunter accountable for his missteps.
“And I don’t criticize [former] President [Joe] Biden for pardoning his own son. I think he was a target of malicious prosecution, but I think he was guilty of some stuff,” Carville continued on the podcast.
Yet, his final jab was the kicker: after all the drama, Carville believes Hunter should just take a backseat and avoid further scrutiny, a sentiment many on the right might quietly applaud given the endless headlines.
