Post Malone's troubling on-stage footage raises alarm among fans ahead of stadium tour

 June 6, 2026

A viral video showing Post Malone lying barefoot on a stage floor, contorting his body, and struggling to light a cigarette has set off a wave of concern across social media, and the timing could not be worse. The singer's BIG ASS Stadium Tour, already delayed by three weeks, is scheduled to launch June 9.

The footage, which spread rapidly on X, shows the star slumping over on the stage before eventually making it back to his feet. He then walks to the edge of the stage, stares blankly at the crowd, and spits. No venue, city, or specific event has been identified in connection with the clip. Neither Post Malone nor his representatives have publicly addressed it.

What the video lacks in context, it makes up for in visibility. Fans flooded the platform with reactions ranging from worry to alarm, and the Daily Caller reported that the footage appeared to catch even longtime supporters off guard.

Fan reactions point to deeper worry

The social media response was not the usual celebrity gossip cycle. Several of the posts linked in the coverage carried a tone closer to genuine distress than tabloid curiosity.

One X user, posting under the handle JebraFaushay, wrote:

"Reminding me of Amy Winehouse on her worst day, here is Post Malone lying on the ground, lighting a cigarette. Then he walks around like a 90-year-old man who lost his shoes and needs a chiropractic adjustment. Should we be worried?"

The comparison to Winehouse, who died from accidental alcohol poisoning in 2011, is the kind of reference fans do not make lightly. It signals the level of unease the footage generated.

Another user, JimHolter28, posted a simpler appeal: "I hope people that care about him watch over him..." Others were blunter. MellaneeLarew wrote, "He's looking pretty rough these days!" And an account under the handle Icon000000089 added, "Bro needs help.. the proof game and money isn't everything and doesn't bring happiness.. he doesn't seem happy to me.."

One post, from Thewatchfuleye7, went further with a claim that cannot be verified: "Sold his soul, addiction is his only coping mechanism." That is speculation, not fact. But it reflects the mood among a segment of the singer's audience.

A tour already running behind schedule

The video surfaced at a sensitive moment. Fans had anticipated seeing Post Malone take the stage alongside Jelly Roll beginning May 13 as part of the BIG ASS Stadium Tour. Instead, the singer postponed the opening three weeks of the tour, pushing the launch to June 9. No public explanation tying the delay to the footage, or to any health issue, has been reported.

That gap between May 13 and June 9 is significant. Stadium tours carry enormous financial and logistical weight. Postponing three weeks of dates is not a casual decision. It involves rescheduling venues, refunding or transferring tickets, and coordinating with co-headliners and production crews. The fact that the delay happened and the footage circulated in roughly the same window has only deepened the speculation.

As recently as April 26, Post Malone performed at the T-Mobile Mane Stage during the 2026 Stagecoach Festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. That appearance, documented in Getty Images photos by John Shearer, showed the singer active on a major festival stage. Whatever the viral video captured, it apparently came after that performance.

What remains unknown

The list of unanswered questions here is long. The exact date and location of the video have not been publicly confirmed. The event or concert, if it was a concert, has not been identified. No venue staff, tour organizers, or medical personnel have commented. Post Malone himself has said nothing.

The cause of his behavior in the footage is entirely unknown. He may have been performing. He may have been unwell. He may have been doing something else entirely. Without a statement from the singer or his team, every interpretation is guesswork.

That silence, though, is doing its own work. In the absence of any official response, fans are left to draw conclusions from a short clip and a delayed tour. The entertainment industry has seen this pattern before, a performer's erratic public moment goes viral, concern builds, and the vacuum of information fills with the worst assumptions.

The Winehouse comparison cuts deep

The Amy Winehouse parallel, raised by multiple fans, is worth pausing on, not because it is necessarily apt, but because it reveals what audiences fear. Winehouse's final concert, held in Belgrade in June 2011, became infamous for her disoriented appearance and inability to perform. She died the following month at age 27.

Post Malone is not Amy Winehouse. The circumstances are different. But when fans reach for that comparison unprompted, it tells you something about the footage's impact. People who follow a performer closely tend to notice when something looks wrong. They may overreact. They may be right. Either way, the comparison landed hard enough to drive the conversation.

A familiar pattern in the entertainment world

The entertainment industry has a long, ugly record of watching performers deteriorate in public while the machinery around them keeps running. Managers, labels, and promoters have financial incentives to keep tours on schedule and tickets selling. The people closest to a struggling artist are often the last to pump the brakes.

None of this means Post Malone is in crisis. The facts available simply do not support that conclusion, or any conclusion. But the pattern is familiar enough that fans recognize it, and their concern, whether premature or not, comes from a reasonable place.

The June 9 tour launch date is now five days away from the article's publication. If Post Malone takes the stage on schedule and performs well, the viral clip may fade into the background noise of celebrity life. If the tour faces further delays, or if the singer's public appearances continue to generate concern, the questions will only get louder.

Fame has a way of making everything visible and nothing clear. The video is out there. The silence from Post Malone's camp is louder than any answer would be.
