Trump reportedly had sharp words for Netanyahu amid peace deal negotiations

 October 7, 2025

President Trump just gave Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a verbal wake-up call over the latest Gaza peace developments.

The New York Post reported that during a phone call, Trump didn’t hold back after Hamas signaled acceptance of key parts of his proposed peace plan, a move he sees as a significant step toward ending the conflict in Gaza.

Last Friday, after Hamas finally responded to Trump’s Gaza peace blueprint, the president reached out to Netanyahu to discuss the breakthrough.

Apparently, Netanyahu wasn’t as thrilled, attempting to downplay the development, which didn’t sit well with Trump.

“I don’t know why you’re always so f–king negative,” Trump reportedly told him, pushing for recognition of the win.

Well, isn’t that refreshing—someone calling out the perpetual glass-half-empty routine when progress is on the table?

Hamas Response: A Mixed Bag

Let’s break this down: Hamas agreed to elements of Trump’s 20-point plan, including the release of Israeli hostages, which is no small feat.

However, they’re not budging on relinquishing weapons or control over Gaza, a sticking point that could stall things faster than a government shutdown.

Still, Trump sees this as a victory in his mission to halt the war, and frankly, any movement in this quagmire deserves a nod.

Following the call, both Israel and Hamas signaled some support for the plan as they prepared for indirect negotiations in Egypt on Monday.

The initial focus of these talks will be swapping Israeli hostages for Palestinian prisoners held in Israel—a delicate first step with high stakes.

Trump, ever the optimist on social media, urged quick action, stating, “I am asking everyone to MOVE FAST,” with hopes the first phase wraps up soon.

Uncertainty Looms Over Timeline

While Trump expects rapid progress, the duration of these talks remains anyone’s guess, with varying predictions from the involved parties.

Netanyahu suggested the discussions would be “confined to a few days maximum,” while Hamas officials warned more time might be needed to locate hostages’ remains under rubble—a grim reminder of the conflict’s toll.

Let’s hope cooler heads prevail and the focus stays on results, not roadblocks, because dragging this out benefits no one.
