White House rebukes Democrats over misleading Epstein email claims

 November 13, 2025

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee just tossed a political grenade by leaking old Jeffrey Epstein emails mentioning President Donald Trump, and the backlash is already scorching.

This whole mess boils down to a calculated release of dated correspondence by Democrats, aiming to paint Trump in a bad light despite zero evidence of any misconduct on his part.

The Independent reported that years before Trump ever stepped into the Oval Office, these emails surfaced, showing Epstein privately boasting that Trump had told Ghislaine Maxwell to halt recruiting young women from the Mar-a-Lago spa.

Here's the kicker: Trump wasn’t even a part of these email exchanges—he didn’t send, receive, or get copied on a single one. Instead, the content merely captures Epstein’s own words, claiming Trump intervened to stop Maxwell’s actions, which hardly screams complicity.

Critics are pointing out that this looks less like a smoking gun and more like a desperate attempt to sling mud at a wall and hope something sticks.

White House Fires Back at Smear Tactics

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt didn’t mince words on Wednesday, slamming the leak as a blatant smear campaign against the president.

“The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump,” Leavitt declared, cutting through the noise with precision.

She also reminded everyone that Trump booted Epstein from Mar-a-Lago decades ago after inappropriate behavior toward female staff came to light, including toward the late Virginia Giuffre, named in the emails.

Speaking of Giuffre, she herself publicly stated that Trump had no involvement in any wrongdoing and described him as nothing but courteous in their brief encounters. That’s a far cry from the sinister picture Democrats seem eager to paint, isn’t it?

Republican voices on the Oversight Committee are equally fed up, questioning why Democrats redacted Giuffre’s name when the Epstein Estate didn’t bother to hide it in their documents.

Republicans Call Out Political Gamesmanship

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., unleashed her frustration over the focus on Trump rather than Epstein’s actual victims, calling the narrative a shameful distraction.

“I am SO SICK OF THE FAKE NEWS FOCUSING ON TRUMP AND NOT EPSTEIN VICTIMS!” Mace exclaimed, hitting the nail on the head about misplaced priorities.

She also noted how Democrats pushing this story conveniently voted against reopening the government, suggesting this leak is just a way to bury their own unpopular decisions.
